On a wide window that is a lot of material, and all of it stacks somewhere. We usually run the track past the casing onto the adjacent wall so the stack sits off the glass.

Not for a battery track motor. The motor tucks inside the track and recharges from a small port at one end, which suits a finished home where opening a wall is not on the table. Long runs and heavy interlined fabric are the exception, since a wired motor holds up better over a full traverse. We work that out from the panel weight at the design visit.
