Not through the moulding itself. We mount the track to the ceiling just inside the crown, which keeps the fabric line clean and leaves the trim untouched. Where the crown is deep, the panels hang forward of it and the top of the fabric hides the hardware entirely. On a coffered ceiling we follow the coffer edge, since fighting the architecture never looks right.

The lining handles the light and the face fabric handles the look, so you can choose a silk-look or a linen weave without giving up a dark bedroom. It also adds body, and the panels hang in even folds instead of collapsing. On a large window the lining protects the outer fabric from sun damage, which matters most on the west side of a house with open exposure.

Two if they open to the sides, four if the window is broken by a mullion and you want a pair per section. Total flat fabric should come to about double the width of the opening, so a 4 metre window takes roughly 8 metres across the panels. Any less and the folds flatten out when the drapery is closed. We work the exact widths out at the measure.

Wired if the wall is open or a receptacle sits near the track end, because a heavy panel draws more from a battery than a blind does and you will be charging often. Battery is the practical choice on a finished wall with lighter fabric. Either version runs on the same remote and app as the motorized blinds, so one scene closes the whole room.
