That is the common case here, and it is where cell shades earn their place. They will not fix a failed seal or a draft coming through the frame itself, so weatherstripping still has to happen. Cell fabric weighs very little, which is why the cordless mechanism works so well on this product in particular. For a window above 2.4 metres we suggest a motor instead, since nobody should be stretching for it.

A soft brush attachment along the fabric every few weeks handles most of it. Keep water off the fabric, because a wet cell dries out of shape and the pleat never quite recovers.
