Yes. Schedules are set per blind or per group, and weekdays and weekends run separately, so the bedrooms can stay shut until nine on a Sunday while the kitchen still opens at seven. Timed schedules need the hub, since the remote on its own has no clock in it. Once it is set, most people leave it for months and use the remote for the exceptions.

For most people, yes, and the choice of handset does most of the work. Buttons on a small remote sit close together and get pressed by accident. On a blind somebody uses every day we supply the larger handset and screw its bracket to the wall at a height that suits her, rather than letting it wander around the room. Once the positions are set, daily use comes down to one press, which is the whole point of it.

Nothing stops working. There is a button on the motor head that drives the blind up and down directly, and a replacement handset pairs to the existing motors in a few minutes without a service call. If the blinds sit on a hub, the app moves them as well. The one thing worth doing early is writing down which channel runs which window.

It needs better anchoring, yes. A battery motor puts noticeable weight at one end of the tube, and on a wide blind that end wants a proper fixing rather than a plug pushed into hollow drywall. Where we can, the brackets go into the frame or into solid wood behind it. Where we cannot, we use anchors rated well past what the blind weighs.
