Recharging is the story for a long time, and eventually not. A lithium pack loses a bit of its capacity every time it cycles, so somewhere past the seven or eight year mark you notice the gap between charges shrinking rather than the motor failing outright. The pack is a serviceable part on the systems we fit, not a sealed unit, so it gets swapped and the motor carries on. Keep the model details with your paperwork and that job stays simple.

It can, and the layering usually improves both. The blind goes inside the opening or tight against the casing, and the curtain rod stands forward of it on longer brackets so the panels never brush the roll as it travels. Two things to get right at the measure: the rod must clear the head of the blind by a couple of centimetres, and the charging point has to stay reachable without taking the curtains down every year.

In a bathroom with a working fan, no trouble at all. The motor is sealed inside the tube and the electronics sit behind an end cap, so ordinary humidity does nothing to it. Where we would think twice is a small old bathroom with no ventilation at all, because steam that has nowhere to go condenses on every cold surface in the room, the tube included. Fix the fan first. That advice holds whether or not there is a motor in the window.

We do it. Every motor gets paired to a remote, the limits get set at the top and bottom of each window, and we group the blinds the way you actually use the room before we leave. If you want a channel per floor, or one button for the whole main level, say so on the day and it takes a few minutes. Sorting it out later means a return visit.
