If a blind is set to run on a schedule while the system is armed, the moving fabric can trip a sensor that has a view of that window. Either leave schedules off while you are away, or have the alarm company exclude the room.

One of our own installers, and the honest answer on a rural call is that we batch them, so it is days rather than the same afternoon unless a blind has failed shut on a door you need. Most faults are settled at the wall in twenty minutes. A motor that genuinely needs replacing comes out of the tube on site and the fabric stays where it is, so nothing gets dismantled twice.

Humidity on its own does not bother a tube motor. The board sits sealed inside the roller and the only opening is the charging socket at the end. What we do watch is condensation, which forms when a cold room warms up fast, so a place that sits at 5 degrees all week and gets heated hard on a Friday night is harder on electronics than one that stays damp and steady. Leave the heat on low if you can.
