Not really. A roller tube has to sit level or the fabric tracks off the roll and creeps to one side within a few pulls. What we do on an angled top is square the head off, mount the blind at the lowest point of the slope and leave the triangle uncovered. Most people accept that once they see it, since the triangle sits high and shows sky rather than a neighbour.

An open roll shows the tube and the fabric wrapped around it, which reads fine in a casual room and cheap in a formal one. A cassette wraps the tube in a fascia you can match to the fabric or the trim, and it closes the light gap at the top as well. In a great room with a good ceiling, we would put the difference into the cassette.

Dry first. A vacuum brush on low, run down the face of the fabric, takes off most of what settles in the weave. For a mark, use a barely damp cloth with plain water and blot rather than scrub, then leave the blind down until it dries so it never rolls up wet. Solvents and melamine sponges strip the coating and leave a shiny patch you cannot undo.

After, every time. Brackets screwed into fresh paint come off cleanly enough, but tape and drop sheets around a hung blind never quite work and a roller collects fine spray you cannot wash out of the coating. Painters also fill and sand the exact spots we want to drill into. Book the measure whenever you like, since the lead time on the blinds usually covers the painting anyway.
