The south or west glass wants a tighter weave or a denser solid band, while the other wall can take something more open so the room does not go gloomy by four o'clock. You end up working two banks of blinds at different hours of the day, which sounds fussy but becomes automatic within a week.

Builders take issue with holes through the exterior cladding or the flashing, which is not something an interior blind ever needs. We remake it. Our installer takes the measurements, so a sizing error belongs to us, not to you. Every blind is made to the numbers we record for that specific opening, down to the millimetre, which is also why a homeowner supplying their own figures changes who carries the risk.
