Yes, with two details attended to. The bracket mounts on the door frame above the glass rather than on the wall, so the blind travels with the door instead of swinging loose. Then a hold-down bracket at the bottom keeps the fabric from flapping every time the door shuts. On a door in daily use we keep the chain short and clip it back to the frame side out of the way.

On a standard roll the cloth comes off the back of the tube and hangs tight to the glass. Reverse sends it down the front instead, clear of anything projecting into the recess. On older windows with a crank handle, a deep stop or a chunky sill, reverse roll is what makes an inside mount possible at all. The cost is a small gap at the head and a little more fabric visible from outside. We settle it at the measure with the window open.

Because the fabric has to run narrower than the brackets, so you get roughly ten millimetres a side. In a living room nobody notices it. In a bedroom with a streetlight out front, that stripe is the entire complaint. A south or west window fades and eventually stiffens the coating years before a north one shows anything at all. Screen fabrics hold their colour longer than printed ones. When the cloth is done, the tube and brackets stay on the wall and only the fabric gets replaced.
